Right now my husband and son are watching the dvd Dumb And Dumber.
I am not sure if you have watched it, but is apparently a comedy.
My husband and son agree with this assessment as they appear to be laughing at it.
As for me, I cannot even crack a smile. It is beyond stupid even by my incredibly easy to tweak giggle button.
I think it is because they are male and I am female.
Or perhaps it really isn't funny at all.
What's not funny is that I am missing out on the very serious 60 Minutes because they are watching the dvd.
Ho hum.
Five minutes later:
I take that back. I just saw the bit where the character Harry has to go to the toilet after being slipped a whole dosh of laxettes by Lloyd. It made me laugh.
Nothing like a bit of toilet humour to bring a smile to my face.
Ciao

15 Squeaks:
I saw that movie, can't remember much about that movie, except it was't funny. Sigh, must be getting old.
RJ: Jim Carey does not make me laugh ever.
Man humor can be more than a bit silly. I think you had the better idea with 60 minutes. Perhaps you need a second TV for another room??
Mizmell: I think I need a television in the bedroom. That would be a treat. Might put that on the agenda with the GPS!
Dumb And Dumber was aptly named. A very dumb film.
i can't stand jim carrey. i think he ruined the Truman Show, which had ed harris in it. we needed more Ed harris and someone else to play Truman. someone who doesn't think their butt cheeks are funny.
i wouldn't mind if the men in my life were watching a real Ed harris movie when 60 minutes was on, but other than that, bring onLesley Stahl.
i'm sorry about my Jim Carrey rant. i can't help myself
dbcooper: I believe there is a second one. What a hideous thought.
Lissy: Ha ha, I totally agree. He is no funny and he totally ruined the Truman Show (which could have been really profound).
Ed Harris is great. I agree.
THAT is too funny, "apparently a comedy". There are far too many "apparent" comedies out there that aren't even remotely funny. I'm with you - not funny.
What's YOUR favourite comic film, Linda?
Kat
Kat: Hmmm, I have to say that Mr Bean does make me laugh a lot. Especially that episode where the Christmas turkey got stuck on his head. Mr Bean is such a thoughtless person. My husband said he would love to be just like Mr Bean.....hmmm
Movie everyone raving over here "The Hangover" also hit Cow the same way.
She didn't crack a smile yet the theatre was roaring in appreciation at the so-called "jokes"...
Moo!
I never really could find the humor in this film.....it was just too over the top.
Topiary Cow: My son wants to see The Hangover. But it won't be me that will be going. You have confirmed what I thought deep down it would be like.
Bruce: It was creepy and over the top. I have now seen it twice as years ago my husband borrowed the dvd and I sat in stoney silence then as well.
Do have to say the guy was good looking in The Hangover...but it wasn't enough to make it worthwhile.
Cow thinking staying home is the best course of action.
Moo!
I've been going back and rereading these and thought I"d commented, but apparently I didn't. I apologize. I'm SO far behind on comments!
I was not amused by dumb and dumber, but there were a few things that were funny, like the laxatives. LOL. You are right. Toilet humor is the best thing to make a person laugh.
Karen: Oh, I tell you, I cannot get on some blogs sometimes (yours is one). Then I leave comments that never appear even though I think they do.
Okay, the lighting of the fart scene made me laugh as well. I am not game enough to do that.
