Oh, How Nice Of You To Say

The other day when we were out and about in town, my son had the camera and took some shots.

At one point he took a photo of me and then said......

"Hey, mum, this is a good photo. You don't look like the Grim Reaper."

I looked at him and said, in a most offended voice.....

"Gee thanks, but I think you meant The Crypt Keeper."

You know, there is a difference.

Sheesh!

Actually, I'm really starting to like the long bangs on you. A lot. Then again, it would be very difficult to find a look that didn't suit you!

And your son is just too funny!!!

Grim Reaper, indeed... *gives an indignant snort*

I saw a picture of the reaper and the keeper. Your son may be right!

Karen is right. You look great!

Karen: Trouble is with having no fringe is that I often put my hair behind my ears which gives a different look.

I cannot believe I just wrote that paragraph - it implies hair is more important the peace on earth.

He is a funny boy. Some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth.....

Ray: Yes, at least the Grim Reaper has the face covered and is dressed in black, which is not a bad thing.

there is a difference?

MJ: Crypt Keeper has a skeletal head and face with straggly hair. Grim Reaper is all dressed in a long black robe and keeps the head covered.

Neither are role models a middle aged woman would aspire to. It just kind of happens as you age....

I think this IS a brilliant photo of you.
I don't know though, do you have a scythe lurking about anywhere?

S is a riot!

Middle aged??? Hardly!! You got 15 more years before you are "Middle Aged". Great pic

Wow, that was awkward said...

YUM!

WOW: So, does your comment relate to the previous Brains post.....

Linda and her Twaddle said...

Kat: No, no scythe, just a trusty pair of tweezers in the handbag. Which are almost as sharp.

dbcooper: Fifteen years hey. Well, that would make me.....about 30 now? That is of course, assuming middle age is half your expected life time. Or is it just when you groan each time you get up from a chair.

i love your hair long. it does make you look very young.

why is it a compliment to tell someone they look young? does the desire to look forever young lead us to plastic surgery and other operations. do some plastic surgeries get botched? do voluntary operations lead to unnecessary and potentially dangerous exposure to anesthesia?

see, a conversation about hair can lead to important issues.

Lissy: Oh, how true. Yes, if hair is not right it could lead to a "bad hair day" and, trust me, that has a lot to do with world peace (in my house anyway).

Better to aim to just look good than to aim for looking young.

Linda... I am of the argument that if the dictators of the world had had good hair, they may not have committed such atrocities, thus ensuring world peace.

Look at Hitler, and his horrid little moustache, and his Forrest Gump hairdo. Ugh. Bad, bad hair. And look at Sadaam Hussain... Bad frizzy permed look. And countless others! So yes... Good hair is indeed important for one's self esteem, and will ensure a good outlook on life, thus securing world peace eventually. I take my job very seriously, as you can guess...!

Linda and her Twaddle said...

Karen: Bad hair - no care. If you let your hair look bad, well, how can you face the day in a positive manner, let alone run a country.

Hitler really put that moustache out of fashion didn't he.

Linda,

LOL! However funny your son is, I think this is a very sexy picture of you. You look young and like you are really enjoying life in that picture.

Very nice.

Presious: He does say some interesting things to me.

Now, just want you to know, for the record, I do not wake up looking like that!.....
